Ravenstar padded out determinedly to the great jagged boulder, whiskers twitching. "May all cats old enough to catch their own fresh kill gather below the HighRock!" Silvermask, too, joined him, following him out of the warrior's den. he gazed down proudly at the cats assembled below him, amber eyes shining in the bleak golden sunlight. He flicked his tail dismissively, ready to begin the ceremony once a few more cats joined.

Lightfur padded up to the crowd. She sighed. I'm way too young, I'll never become deputy! Well, whatever. I'm supposed to watch, so I might as well stay. And it's kind of interesting finding out who becomes deputy! I wonder who it will be... She thought. She looked up to find Bloodclaw next to her. Oh right, it'll be him. Well, he's an okay guy. Just congratulate him when it's announced... that's all I have 2 do...

Ravenstar sighed, scanning the crowd. He stood again, ears pricked. "I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice." He paused, taking a deep breath. Funny, he mused, how little he had been prepared for this. "The new deputy will be... Lightfur." He grinned, amber eyes flashing gold in the sunlight. He inclined his head towards the she-cat kindly, tail twitching.

IC: Lightfur turned to Bloodclaw "congratu..." her voice faded and she became wide-eyed "WHAT THE...!?" She stood there frozen as everyone stared at her. she swiftly turned her head in each direction. She went cross eyed and fainted. "amateur..." Bloodclaw whispered. How could this happen? Has Ravenstar gone insane!? I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE DEPUTY!!!!!!!!! He thought and then stormed off to the warrior's den.
